Synopsis:

In the picturesque coastal town of Cartagena, Bree Farringdon (Brooke Burfitt), a dedicated marine archaeologist, faces the looming closure of her cherished research program. Her last hope lies in the fabled shipwreck of La Mariana, a vessel shrouded in mystery and tragedy. During her dive, Bree uncovers a trove of antique wine bottles, perfectly preserved by time. Each bottle whispers of an era gone by, and more intriguingly, of a forbidden love story tied to the Vega family—owners of a world-renowned Spanish vineyard.

Enter Mateo Vega (Daniel Lundh), a passionate winemaker grappling with the legacy of his ancestors. Bree and Mateo’s paths converge when an affluent investor commissions Bree to unravel the history behind La Mariana’s wines, with Mateo as her guide to the world of viticulture. Together, they embark on a captivating journey that blends history, heartbreak, and wine-making. As they piece together the puzzle, Bree and Mateo discover not only the secrets of the past but also a growing connection that threatens to outshine the very history they aim to uncover.

Meanwhile, Bree must navigate the expectations of her team, led by the steadfast Finn Robinson (Callum Kerr), and the pressure from her academic father, Professor Dale Farringdon (Nicholas Farrell). Adding to the mix is the alluring and ambitious Eliza Van Deuzen (Caprice Bourret), who has her own designs on Mateo and the potential profit behind the historical discovery.
