Synopsis
The story starts with Jack Armstrong being sick almost to the death but then is able to survive such difficulties in life. As if the loss of both the children and the father Jim is not enough, even Lizzie his wife, who he was meant to cherish after sacrificing so much, dies. The best time to be blessed a child was turned into a very tragic day wherein Mikki and Cory find themselves not only losing their mother but also a parent. Even not knowing the sense of loss which is disrupting their lives, the Armstrongs went on a vacation which was to be a comforting solution but instead turned out to be a memoire to be cherished in the future as well as the past.
What stands most prominent in the movie is in my opinion the vintage coastal memories which Margaret, Lizzi’s sister is able to grasp after photo drawing encountering Jack for the first time in a long time. Adding to the twisted plot is the very addition of Jenna who forms connections with the family amidst all of this. The family faces the pain of loss after grief and loss, it definitely does show the struggle of moving on as even when the in times they miss them, Jack nevertheless was unshaken due to his faith in Lizzie. But at the end of the day they do learn happiness comes through finding closure and bridging every missing piece together.
In conclusion the film is able to tend all issues it brings to spotlight beautifully in the light of the aesthetics it represents, thanks to Hallmark the movie without that my feeling somehow empty, eases every tear to be cried along with the memories to be created.
