In The Escapee 3: The Last Departure, the trilogy comes to its explosive and terrifying conclusion. Chrissie Wunna in the role of Casey Roberts delivers a performance that overwhelms the viewer with emotions. Roberts confronts new hurdles in her long history of conflict never before seen, a new era that could only be described as an arena full of treachery and deception, where the only way to be victorious is to rely on the painful truths of one’s past. It’s a game of high stakes when the prey turns into the predator when seeking out vengeance and justice.
The trailer can easily be called a work of art and it includes spine chilling action scenes and dark psychological aspects of the story as well. Cars racing against one another through dark alleys of the city, running away from danger in dark hallways, and moments that are silence from the non stop action indicate that emotions will be really important in the story. There is an intense music in the background which makes everything much more dramatic and connects the audience to the screen making the audience feel like a part of Casey’s tumultuous world.
The clash of emotions surrounds the characters quite terribly as this concludes one of if not the best exit from a conflict this audience has witnessed. N Walters as Interrogator Jo adds to the already tense Casey whom she stands like a wall against. Dr Collins is played by Ashraf Patel as an incredibly calculating character and a catalyst for evil in the story even as Chidinma Ifunanyachi performs Caprise who is chaotic and is essential to the story but a bit of a loose cannon.
The Escapee 3 is set against the backdrop of conspiracies and violence and is able to extract the essence of faith, strength and the undying spirit of a human being. Excitement, anticipation and heart-crushing love fill the entire script making it a visual spectacle regardless of being an old fan or a new viewer of the series.
