Synopsis: A Holiday Reunion to Remember

The storyline revolves around five childhood friends – Avery, Ben, Mia, Sarah and Noah who manage to meet for the first time in years but this time it is in their hometown as they pay respect to their dearly departed teacher Mr Massey who had also served as their high school mentor. Throughout their high school, Mr Massey was the epiphany of hope and self-determination for all as he always had words of encouragement for them to pursue their passions.

When they reconnect, the five friends are confronted with feelings they left behind such as guilt and shame from their past. Avery wants ‘it all’ – a successful career and a private life that is equally fulfilling. Art was once in Ben’s future plans but he’s now indecisive. Noah is now pondering if the life he’s living is the true sense of self, whilst facing contemporary and gender-based woes along with Sarah and Mia. The group unites together as the Christmas spirit surrounds them and with some healing they begin their self-healing journey.

All the way through ornamenting their Christmas tree and recreating past traditions, the friends learn that despite Changes in Life, something as precious as true friendship will forever last. With snow covered roads, sparkling bulbs and Christmas magic, “Christmas for Keeps” is a heartwarming film that captures the essence of Christmas and addresses the issues of Love, Loss and Renewal.
